How to get here

••••By plane:
From TF Green Airport to Brown:
 For those of you arriving by plane, the Providence airport is called TF Green (PVD) and is usually a bit more expensive than Boston Logan International Airport. A taxi from TF Green to Providence will cost $30-$40. You can also take the bus (RIPTA) to Kennedy Plaza in downtown Providence at a cost of $2 on lines 14 and 20. From Kennedy Plaza you can take a taxi to arrive at Brown’s campus for a cost of $5-10 or walk 20 minutes (uphill). On weekdays, there is also the possibility of taking the MBTA commuter rail to the Providence train station, a 15 minute walk to Brown.

From Boston Logan Airport to Brown: If you fly into Boston Logan, you can
1) Take a bus with the Peter Pan Bus Company. The bus will take you to Kennedy Plaza (Providence Downtown). Make sure not to get off at the “Providence terminal” which is further away from Brown. From Kennedy Plaza you can take a taxi to arrive at Brown’s campus for a cost of $5-10 or walk 15 minutes (uphill).

2) Take the Silver Line bus from the airport to South Station and then the MBTA commuter rail to Providence Train Station. Once at the station, the most convenient way to reach Brown is by taxi or by walking (15 mins uphill).

From Boston South Station: 
You can take either the MBTA commuter rail or Amtrak to arrive in Providence. Once at the station, the most convenient way to reach Brown is by taxi or by walking (15 mins uphill).

From NYC and other points south: You can arrive in Providence with Amtrak.

••••By car: If you are driving to Brown, please visit this page for directions and parking information. You may also want to print out a map from Google Maps. Please note: overnight parking (between 2am and 5am) is forbidden.

•••• By bus: If you are interested in traveling by bus, check Peter Pan BusMegabus or Greyhound. The bus will leave you in Kennedy Plaza, downtown Providence. The most convenient way to reach Brown is by taxi or by walking (15 mins uphill).
